Let’s dive into the corners of the internet with 21 secret websites to make money online in 2023 going well into 2024.

After some really extensive research for another article I was writing, I came across a treasure trove of secret websites that actually have the potential to make money, not just in 2023 but into 2024 and beyond!

To my surprise, most people I discussed these secret websites with had no idea they even existed, let alone being money-making opportunities, so without any further delay, here’s my insanely powerful list of secret websites to make money online, with some of them paying you daily and depending on how much effort you put in, have the potential to make you 6-figures per year.

1. 2Captcha

This first one isn’t going to make you rich like some of the others on my list, but it is incredibly easy to make money with.

This is the perfect way to make money from the comfort of your home by simply solving Capchas. Everyone who uses the internet has experienced a Captcha at some point. They’re the little annoying things that pop up when you’re trying to log into a website, asking if you’re ‘actually human’. Sometimes they’ll ask you to match up symbols, and other times they’ll ask you to select all the buses.

You can’t escape them, they’re absolutely everywhere but they have an important purpose and that is to limit the amount of spam and bots on websites.

The reason 2Captcha pays people money is because they need real humans to solve these Captchas to test their effectiveness.

This is a really easy way of making money online, and like I said above, it’s not lucrative like some other secret websites on this list, but if you want to make a little money on the side, it’s perfect for that. This secret website will pay you a minimum of $1 for every 1,000 Captchas you solve.

All you need to get started with 2Captcha is a smartphone.

Pop over to 2CAPTCHA and in the main menu click ‘Work For Us’ then click ‘Start Earning’.

2. Nielsen Computer & Mobile

Did you ever think you could make money by simply installing an app on your smartphone or your computer? I’m here to tell you that you can.

This method is the true definition of passive income. When you sign up to install the Nielsen app on your computer and smartphone, you’ll earn money every day and as an incredible bonus, the Nielsen app will automatically enter you into their $10,000 monthly sweepstakes.

Right now, you must be wondering if there’s a catch. There isn’t. After you’ve installed the app, Nielsen will get anonymous data about how you use your computer and smartphone and it’ll pay you for the information you give to it. The app does not collect information about the websites that you visit, it doesn’t collect passwords, usernames or any other private information.

This is again not going to be life-changing amounts of money at all and the methods further down the list will make you much more money, but this is the idea of truly passive income. You’re going to get paid just to have this app on your phone or computer, there is nothing else that you need to do.

3. Savvy Connect

This ties into the method above but Savvy Connect will pay for each device you install the app on, up to a maximum of 3 devices. This gives you the opportunity to earn $15 a month of truly passive income, plus the money earned from the Nielsen website in method 2. With just the Savvy Connect app alone, you could pay for your monthly Netflix or Spotify subscription.

Savvy Connect is an app that you can download onto your devices that works in the background to quietly include your information in behavioral market research whilst you’re doing what you do as normal and when browsing the internet.

Think about it, all those apps you’ve got installed on your smartphone and computer right now are guaranteed to be tracking your device usage. Some of them will even track your personal information for advertising and marketing purposes, but they don’t pay you a dime.

You might as well have an app on there that does the same (minus the personal info), that actually pays you for the privilege. Methods 2 & 3 are examples of truly passive secret websites to make money online.

4. Ibotta Cash Back

Ibotta has been advertised loads on the internet recently so many people will have this installed on their phones already, but due to the amount of money you can save with this app, it just had to be on my list.

Install Ibotta on your phone and when you shop for everyday items that you would shop for anyway without the app, there’s a good chance that you can make some money with Ibotta passively.

It gives you cash back on everyday purchases. So not only do you make money using Ibotta, but you’ll often find discounts on the products you’re looking for so you’ll save money as well as making it.

There are loads of posts of people on the internet raving about their experience with Ibotta and sharing the amount of money they have saved through the app.

One of the great things about Ibotta is that as your cash back accumulates if you find that you need some quick money, you can go into the app and withdraw your savings.

5. Prolific

There are tonnes of different survey websites, some of them will make you money and others are a complete waste of your time and effort.

Prolific is a different animal altogether. Prolific is a survey website run by a research company that will pay you to complete surveys regarding studies being carried out by major universities. Unlike other survey websites, Prolific is straightforward and to the point. I mean, we are here to make money, so who cares if it doesn’t make things fun or pretty.

This is a more lucrative way of making money online compared to the previous methods. On average with Prolific, you can make between $6 – $12 per hour. In comparison to the other survey websites, they will pay you between $1 – $3 per hour, and not many people know about Prolific yet. This makes for a great addition to my list of secret websites to make money.

6. Webull App

Webull is a great stock investment app where money will literally fall into your lap the moment you join.

They’ll give you 12 free stocks valued up to $36,000 for simply opening an account and depositing as little as $0.01. It’s literally free money so is a complete no-brainer.

It’s really easy to get started. Head over to the Webull website, click ‘Join Today’, and sign up by following the application process. You’ll also have to provide a form of ID for identity verification and connect a valid bank account. This will be the account you use to deposit a small amount of money in order to get your free 12 shares.

Once you’ve completed the application process and transferred as little as $0.01, you’ll receive your free 12 stocks worth up to $36,000!

For the potential to earn $36,000 for almost free, it isn’t really something you should need to think about. If you decide you don’t want to keep the app, you can sell your stocks and cash out!

7. Validately

Validately is a secret website that pays you to test other websites and smartphone apps. The way this differs from other user-testing apps is that Validately will send you testing opportunities directly to your email inbox rather than you having to search them out and filter through what you’re eligible for.

With other user-testing websites, you’d have to take a screening test for each opportunity for them to decide if you qualify but with Validately, they only send you opportunities you have already been approved for.

It’s really simple to get started, just head over to Validately, create an account so you can register as a tester, and start earning some good money. Once you’ve signed up and completed your profile, you’ll have to wait for the website to start sending you tests that you’re eligible for.

Most people receive their first test within a day of being signed up. On average, you can make between $20 to $40 per month using Validately, but I’ve seen some users claim to make up to $100 per month doing user testing on this website, making it a great secret website to make money straight away.

8. Course Hero

Course Hero is an online micro-tutoring website where you can share your experience or expertise with students.

When you sign up to the website, you’ll be answering questions that people have about their assignments. With every question you answer, you’ll earn points which you can then redeem for money.

According to Course Hero, tutors on the website can earn upwards of $1,500 per month depending on the number of questions answered, their difficulty, and how effectively you can answer them.

9. Listverse

This is one of my favorites from the list because I like writing.

Listverse will pay you to write Top 10’s or more, on any topic that you find interesting. Similar to this article about 21 Secret Websites To Make Money Online, but much less intense and you don’t actually need to be a writer to make money on Listverse.

As long as your list is interesting and meaningful to their audience, your list will be accepted by them after you’ve submitted it.

With Listverse, you have the potential to make up to $100 per list that’s accepted. Now think of the scalability here. If you had the time to write a list every day, and each one got accepted, you’d make $700 a week or $2,800 per month, making this one of the most lucrative secret websites to make money online.

10. Freecash

Can you think of anything better than getting free cash? Me neither.

There’s a cool secret website called Freecash. It has over 40,000 reviews on Trust Pilot with most singing its praises. When you first get on to the website it can look overwhelming with offers left, right, and center.

Freecash pays you to download and try new apps and games and sign up for free services. I want to make you aware though, of offers that will ask you to buy something or to sign up for a paid subscription. You do not need to do this and I would stay away from these types of offers. There are more than enough completely free offers that you can take advantage of without the need to spend your own money.

Some of the most active users on this website earn up to $1,000 per month, but for most who are starting out and doing this fairly passively, you should aim for around $100 a month. The sky is the limit here, so the more time you can devote to these offers, the more money you will make.

There’s some great potential with this website to make some free cash and that’s why it’s on my list of secret websites to make money with.

11. Clarity

Clarity is an online marketplace where people give one-on-one advice on things they are good at or have experience in.

There’s a good variety of topics on the website from business, sales & marketing to social media marketing and copywriting.

If you think you have something to offer whether or not you consider yourself an expert in the field, if you have some experience in the industry you can sign up to clarity to connect with people looking for the advice that you can give. It’s a great way to start making some easy money from home.

I’ve read about people making between $100 – $300 per hour connecting with people on the website, but according to Clarity itself, you can expect to make around $50 per 30-minute call making it one of the best secret websites to make money online.

12. Userfeel

Userfeel is another user-testing website where you can get paid for trying out apps and new websites in around 5 minutes up to 60 minutes.

You can complete these tests on your smartphone from the comfort of your home. You’ll be given different tasks with each test to make sure an app or a website is running as it should, and the information you provide after your test will allow the companies to understand the customer experience.

You’ll be tasked with trying to find certain products on the website and going through the checkout process giving site owners feedback if you run into any usability issues.

When you first sign up, you’ll have to go through a screening test to make sure you qualify for user testing, but once you’re through you can get to work right away.

On average, most of the tests on Userfeel will last around 20 minutes and will earn you approximately $10. It does have a great payment structure without the drawbacks of other user testing websites so I feel it should definitely make my list of secret websites to make money.

13. Modsquad

Modsquad is a website that connects freelancers with businesses that need help with customer service, content moderation, community management, and social media.

You can join Modsquad as a Mod and do tasks from the comfort of your own home and work with some of the biggest, coolest brands from the worlds of gaming, eCommerce, or entertainment.

You can join Modsquad from anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection.

Existing ‘Mods’ have posted online about how good it is to work with Modsquad and one of the main benefits highlighted is that you get to control your own working hours, and the people you work with on the platform are really friendly.

The only downside to this website is that it can take weeks to get approved after a long and tedious application but once you get in, it definitely pays off.

14. Zirtual

Zirtual allows you to become a Virtual Assistant to people with very busy schedules.

You could be doing anything from reading and replying to people’s emails, managing their calendars, clearing their to-do lists, managing their social media pages and posting on their behalf, and carrying out web research on their behalf.

Zirtual has a number of benefits for those looking to make money online by becoming Virtual Assistants. They offer a very competitive rate of pay of $11 – $20 per hour along with a flexible working schedule, meaning you can work from anywhere in the US as long as you have a good internet connection. Unfortunately, it’s only available in the United States.

You can set yourself apart from other Virtual Assistants on the platform if you can demonstrate some experience in this field. Whether you’re a receptionist in your day job or have a background in administrative tasks, it would help to have some experience rather than no experience at all.

15. Google Opinion Rewards

Google Opinion Rewards is a survey app that pays people to answer opinion polls, write hotel reviews, fill in merchant satisfaction surveys, and more so that they can improve their products and services.

We have all tried a survey app at some point in our money-making journey and know firsthand that most of them are just a waste of time. This particular one is made by Google, so you know they’re legit and they’re likely to actually follow through with their promise and pay you for completing surveys.

Some of these surveys last a few seconds and will earn you money on completion, meaning they can be done from the comfort of your own home or when you’ve got a minute to spare.

Download the app on your smartphone and fill in a screening form during sign-up. They will then notify you every time there’s a survey that matches your profile type so make sure you keep your notifications on.

Any money you accrue will be sent directly to your PayPal account but it’s important to mention that this is not a life-changing amount of money. You’ll make a few dollars with each survey which adds up over time to fund purchases you wouldn’t normally be able to make or pay for a monthly bill like Netflix.

16. Enroll

Enroll is another user-testing website that deserves to be on my list of secret websites to make money.

The concept here is simple and similar to the other apps. You sign up, complete an initial screening to complete your profile and the app will let you know when there are surveys for you to complete. In return for your quality feedback, Enroll will pay you.

A task that takes a few minutes could earn you up to $2 with more complex tests taking longer to complete but will bring you up to $10.

There are other user-testing websites on this list that will pay much more, but it’s a good one to add to your daily task list because making more money is never a bad thing.

17. Foap

Would you be shocked if you could sell pictures you take with your smartphone to huge companies like Volvo and Bank of America?

Foap allows you to do just that. Foap lets you upload pictures you’ve taken with your phone to the website for brands to buy. If the brand decides to purchase your photos, Foap will share these profits with you 50/50.

To get started, download the Foap app onto your smartphone, create your account, and start snapping.

If you want to make even more money then you can search for brand campaigns on Foap, read through their mission brief, and take and upload multiple pictures or videos that stick close to the brief. They’ll have a reward amount listed with the brief, and if they select your photos or videos, you could make $100’s.

18. Clearvoice

There are a couple of freelance websites we’ve all heard of, mainly Upwork & Fiverr.

Clearvoice is a freelance writing website that was acquired last year by Fiverr.

Clearvoice is very different from other freelance websites. One of the biggest problems with Upwork is that it relies on a bidding system to secure jobs. You create your profile, and as a freelancer, you can win client contracts by bidding on proposals. Unfortunately, this leads to a race to the bottom with prices and you never get what you’re actually worth.

With Clearvoice, you submit your portfolio to the website, fill in your profile and they will automatically assign jobs to you that fit your profile. There’s no bidding here, you set your rates. It’s not uncommon to make $200 to $1,000 per contract which makes Clearvoice the perfect addition to my list of secret websites to make money online.

19. Snapwire

Snapwire is very similar to Foap, where you upload images and videos for brands around the world to purchase, making you good money.

There are 2 main ways for you to make money on the app. The 1st way is by uploading high-quality images, videos & graphic design artwork to your portfolio in the app, and then when someone makes a purchase, you’ll make a commission.

The 2nd way to make money on Snapwire is by participating in challenges set by clients on the app. Just like Foap, you get a briefing that tells you what sort of content the client is looking for, how many photos have been submitted so far, and how many creators have contributed.

The amount of money you make on Snapwire depends on the brief but you can earn between $20 – $600 per job. Snapwire lets you keep 100% of the earnings from briefs as a huge plus to this app over Foap.

20. Try My UI

Try My UI is a user-testing website that tasks you with visiting and using websites either on your smartphone or computer, whilst giving feedback on your experience of using said website.

All of this happens whilst your screen and voice are recorded so you will have to put in some effort. Each task you complete will earn you around $10 and takes 20 minutes on average to complete. There’s no limit on how many tests you can take either and as you build up money, they’ll deposit your earnings to your PayPal account every Friday.

Pop over to the website, and click ‘Get Paid To Test’ at the top of the page. You’ll then be asked to sign up and complete a profile.

21. Text Royal

You can earn top dollar by writing for Text Royal. With these guys, you’ll be doing general freelance writing in many different niches, such as writing social media posts, helping people write articles for their own websites, and writing academic papers & essays.

The platform pays writers $0.03 per word, with access to writing jobs 24/7. So, if you write a 500-word article, you’ll earn $15. It takes me around 1 hour to write and research for an article of that size, and with the time I’ve got spare in the day, I could comfortably write 2 articles a day. With practice, I’m sure you could too, and that means you’d earn $900 a month working just 2 hours a day.

The caveat here is that when you’re starting off with them, you’ll get paid $0.01 per word for your first few projects and once you’ve proven yourself, you’ll get bumped up to the $0.03 rate.

You take on writing gigs as you want them so the flexibility is great. You can also do this from anywhere in the world, making this one of the best secret websites to make money.

Summary

I hope this list of 21 Secret Websites to Make Money has been informative and serves as a source of inspiration. It really isn’t as hard as you think to make money online especially as more people than ever are transforming their financial situation.
